The SRX-12 is the most economical of the line-up of remote control lawn mowers here at Southern RobotX.  The 12 Volt D.C. twin electric drive motors have plenty of power for navigating around small lawns with moderate terrain less than 1/2 acre.  Slopes up to 30 degrees can be mowed effortlessly and with ease using only one finger to control it's movement in all directions.  In the event of an emergency,  the gas engine can be shut off using the engine shut-off switch on your remote control.
